  • Unitech Supports Microsoft’s BizTalk Server 2008

    Unitech, the third largest worldwide manufacturer of rugged PDAs, has announced a strategic relationship with Microsoft to support BizTalk RFID into its range of RFID readers, including the recently announced RH767 RFID hand held terminal. Providing online connectivity to Microsoft's revolutionary RFID capable BizTalk Server 2006 R2, Unitech's product range nowdelivers a powerful RFID smart client solution that is simple to integrate into existing IT solutions.

    This lowers system integration costs, speeds up deployment and increases return on investment helping businesses of all sizes to gain significant benefits through the adoption of RFID technology.

    Interoperability with BizTalk Server, the most widely deployed business process server with over 7,000 users worldwide, enables Unitech to provide mobility applications that deliver a uniformed way to communicate with and manage RFID devices on the Microsoft platform.

    In addition, it is now possible for Unitech’s RFID product range to leverage the BizTalk Server’s event processing capabilities empowering field based workers to make better decisions through the delivery of more meaningful data.

    The 13.56 MHz HF model has a triple RFID reader supporting ISO 15693 and ISO 14443A/B. The UHF model supports the latest EPC Gen 2 standard. With WLAN 802.11b/g supporting, LEAP and CCX, and Bluetooth connectivity, the RH767 offers maximum flexibility for connectivity.
